In our classroom, we are working hard every day toward becoming kids of character. Becoming a kid of character means we are making choices that are above the line rather than below the line or below the bottom line. When we catch a student making above the line choices, we like to provide immediate positive feedback. When we catch a student making below the line or below the bottom line choices, we also like to provide immediate positive feedback so we can help the student reflect on a choice that would be more appropriate. |
Our Classroom Expectations
|
Class Dojo is a website that allows teachers to give students immediate feedback on their behaviors, positive and negative. Students work together as a team to earn points for making above the line choices. Students get very excited when they are awarded points and they love to root for each other. At the end of each week, students will fill out a reflection sheet and share positive choices they made and explain why those choices were important.
